The adopted son of a Texas couple has been arrested in connection with a murder-for-hire plot that left the couple dead in their home in March 2018. The couple was woken in bed by their dogs barking, and managed to call 911. When the authorities arrived, the father was found dead on the kitchen floor. Several months of investigation revealed that the adopted son had discussed his murder plot with several parties and eventually posted on social media seeking someone to kill his parents in exchange for monetary gain. He ended up finding someone who agreed to take the job at a club. The adopted son allegedly pursued the murder-for hire in order to cash in on his adoptive parents' life insurance policies.
