Everest Insurance has promoted Mike Karmilowicz and Dave Sandler to president for their respective business segments.

Mr. Karmilowicz joined Everest in July 2015 and leads Everest's specialty underwriters (“ESU”) business, which currently comprises the executive solutions group (financial institutions, public and private directors and officers, and cyber), professional liability, alternative solutions (transactional liability and private equity), political risk and trade credit, and surety.

Mr. Karmilowicz also recently added management responsibility for, and joined the board of, the specialty insurance group (“SIG”), Everest's sports and leisure specialist organization based in Carmel, Indiana.

Mr. Sandler joined Everest in April 2016 to lead the risk management group. Over the past two years, the risk management group has grown to include the addition of monoline workers' compensation, multinational casualty, commercial casualty, energy, and transportation and logistics. Mr. Sandler also has added management responsibility, and has joined the board of The Everest Insurance Company of Canada.

Commenting on the promotions, Jonathan Zaffino, the president and chief executive officer of Everest, stated that the promotions recognized “both Mike and Dave's significant leadership impact on Everest Insurance, their personal performance during their time here, and the growing scale and diversity of the business units they oversee. Mike and Dave are talented and seasoned industry leaders, each with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and will play in increasingly important role in our future. I look forward to partnering with both of these talented executives as we continue to evolve Everest Insurance toward the world class specialty insurer we envision.”
