Everest Insurance has expanded its specialty underwriters (“ESU”) financial lines group with the addition of three new cyber liability team members.
The team, launched in March 2018 and led by Kevin Sherry, vice president and cyber practice leader, is focused on providing cyber liability coverage and solutions to firms across all industries. The team works with cyber modeling firms, cyber security firms, and incident response vendors to provide services to insureds.
Raphael DaCosta joined Everest as a manager, responsible for middle market and national accounts predominantly in the Northeast and Midwest regions. Mr. DaCosta came to Everest from Zurich, where he worked as a senior underwriter focusing on security and privacy, miscellaneous professional liability, tech errors and omissions, manufacturers errors and omissions, and employed lawyers liability.
Prior to Zurich, he began his underwriting career at Chubb. Mr. DaCosta has a B.A. from Hofstra University
Melissa Bell joined Everest as an associate manager, and will be handling middle market and national accounts in the South and West Coast regions. Ms. Bell joined Everest from Arch Insurance Group, where she was an underwriter in cyber and errors and omissions. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University.
Jenna Belous has been hired as an associate manager, responsible for middle market and national accounts in the Northeast region. Ms. Belous joined Everest from Liberty Mutual, where she worked as an underwriter in data privacy and technology. She is an alumna of Purdue University.
