RLI Executive Products Group has launched a new cyber liability insurance product.

RLI said in a statement that its cyber liability insurance offers both first- and third-party coverage options to protect medium-to-large sized firms against financial losses and damages resulting from cyber attacks and data breaches.

“We're pleased to introduce a new cyber liability insurance solution to the market to protect customers from increasingly complex cyber exposures,” said RLI Insurance Company's president and chief operating officer, Craig W. Kliethermes. “Designed to provide customers with peace of mind, our holistic cyber coverage is backed by an experienced underwriting and claim team, superior service, and the financial strength of an A+ (Superior) rated carrier.”

RLI's cyber liability coverage is available initially on an excess basis, with a primary cyber liability policy coming soon, the company said. The coverage provides access to risk management tools and resources through NetDiligence's eRiskHub, to help policyholders better understand cyber exposures, establish a breach response plan, and minimize the impact of a breach, should one occur, RLI added.
