Commercial Property Conditions on Separate Form
June 20, 2016
Apparently the commercial property forms do not define the coverage territory found in other insurance forms. Am I overlooking something? Usually, it would be the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. What if an insured owned contents in Mexico? Could it be covered under the ISO forms?
Ohio Subscriber
The ISO commercial property program requires the inclusion of the Commercial Property Conditions Form, CP 00 90, as part of the policy. That form defines the coverage territory as you describe: the United States (including its territories and possessions), Puerto Rico, and Canada. So, property owned in Mexico would not fit into the definition of “coverage territory.”
