Auto Theft Fraud—Nebraska
AMOUNT: $27,000+
An individual has been sentenced to one-and-a-half to three years in prison for auto insurance fraud. In June of 2014 the man reported his vehicle as stolen and collected over $27,000 from his carrier. The man later confessed that the car was not stolen but that he drove it into a canal in order to collect the insurance money.
