CNA has appointed Ziad Kubursi as its senior vice president of financial institutions and management liability, effective April 6, 2015. In this role, Mr. Kubursi will be responsible for the leadership and growth of these areas.
“Ziad has a proven track record of success in the management liability and financial lines arenas,” said Mark Herman, the president and chief operating officer of CNA Specialty. “I am confident his strong leadership, underwriting, and relationship management experience make him ideally suited for this role.”
Mr. Kubursi has more than 18 years of insurance industry experience, most recently serving as senior vice president and head of the management and professional liability division for Philadelphia Insurance Company, a member of Tokio Marine Group. Prior to Philadelphia Insurance Group, he held positions at AIG's financial lines organizations, including zonal vice president and regional executive, senior vice president national accounts, and head of financial lines for growth economies.
Mr. Kubursi holds an executive M.B.A. from the London Business School, an M.B.A. from Adelphi University, and a B.A. in government and politics from George Mason University.
