Security Life Insurance Company of America has added standalone individual vision insurance to its product offerings.

The product, PrimeStar Individual Vision Insurance, has two plan options.

The PrimeStar Choice Vision plan will utilize the VSP Vision Care network encompassing a presence of 31,000 providers in the private practice space. The PrimeStar Select Vision plan will use the EyeMed Access network of 78,000 vision care providers from major retail chains.

“Vision insurance is one of the most used consumer benefits,” said Mark Zesbaugh, the chief executive officer of Security Life. “We have seen a strong market demand for standalone individual vision insurance, so we are proud to respond to that need with the launch of PrimeStar Vision. With competitive benefits and partnerships with two of the most well-known vision networks, VSP and EyeMed, we expect a very positive response from our customers.”
