Dodie C. Kent has joined Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP as an insurance and financial services partner in New York.
Prior to joining Sutherland, Ms. Kent was associate general counsel at AXA Equitable, where she served as the company's principal legal securities advisor regarding its variable and fixed life and annuity product lines.
The firm noted that Ms. Kent, with more than 20 years of experience as corporate counsel in the financial services industry, advises on product design, marketing, and administrative issues as they relate to variable and fixed life insurance and annuity products. She also has experience counseling on related regulatory compliance and enforcement issues. She focuses on insurer initiatives including the de-risking of legacy product offerings; the design and regulation of index-linked investments; issues related to the use of volatility management; and the simplification of variable annuity disclosure.
