Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has named Robley Moor head of casualty for North America. With this appointment, Mr. Moor becomes managing director. He succeeds Daniel Vetter, who was promoted to global head of casualty in the products and global markets unit of corporate solutions.
Messrs. Moor and Vetter will be based in New York City.
Mr. Moor, who will report to Robert Petrilli, the head of North America, joined Swiss Re in New York in 2001. In 2007, he was promoted to senior vice president, and he has led the central U.S. regional casualty team in Chicago since that time.
The company reported that Mr. Vetter, as global head of casualty, will report to Nikolaj Beck, head of property and casualty and special lines. He will have global responsibility for corporate solutions' casualty portfolio.
Mr. Vetter joined Swiss Re in 2000 and served as head of casualty North America from 2007-2014.
“Corporate solutions is focused on strengthening our regional presence in North America,” said Mr. Petrilli. “Daniel has been instrumental in establishing a strong casualty underwriting organization in North America. Under his leadership, Robley created our first casualty team outside of New York City, building close ties with key broker and client partners. Collectively, they have successfully grown our local portfolio. Robley's transition to succeed Daniel is an example of strong internal casualty underwriting leadership and will reinforce a consistent approach to our broker and client relationships.”
