I have a case where a frame restaurant has a sprinkler system and is recognized by ISO as being sprinklered, but the system does not extend to the office area. Our desirable recommendation was to expand the system to include the office. We have the Protective Safeguards, IL 04 15, endorsement on the policy.
Since we are writing the coverage using the ISO published rates, and they recognize the fact that the sprinkler does not include the office, if there is a fire will the fact that the office does not have the sprinkler present a problem due to the IL 04 15 attachment?

We will answer the question based on form IL 04 15. However, please note that form IL 04 15 was withdrawn by ISO when the commercial property program was revised in 2012. It was replaced by CP 04 11.
The form requires that the protective safeguard listed in the schedule or the Declarations be maintained. As long as the safeguard is maintained, it should not matter that the office is not sprinklered as far as the IL 04 15 is concerned.
