Lyft has announced that it has reached an agreement to partner with MetLife Auto & Home to develop insurance solutions that protect Lyft's drivers and passengers when utilizing its ride sharing service.
The Lyft platform provides drivers with excess liability insurance up to $1,000,000 per occurrence, and Lyft played a role in founding the Peer-to-Peer Ridesharing Insurance Coalition.
According to Lyft, MetLife has recognized the opportunity to serve Lyft users in this emerging marketplace.
