Robert H. Coughlin, Jr., will become the new chair of the 2,530 member Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association at the bar association's upcoming annual meeting.
Mr. Coughlin became a member of Flink Smith LLC in November 2006.
He is a graduate of Hamilton College and Albany Law School of Union University, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers. After law school, Mr. Coughlin became the confidential law clerk to a New York State Supreme Court Justice. He currently concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on trial practice and insurance law, negligence, labor law, and commercial matters.
