The Business Law Section of the California State Bar has appointed Armand Feliciano as chair of the California State Bar Insurance Committee for 2013-2014. Mr. Feliciano is vice president of the Association of California Insurance Companies (“ACIC”) and advocates on property-casualty legislative and regulatory issues before the California legislature and other state agencies, including the California Department of Insurance.

Members of the State Bar Insurance Committee include appellate, in house, litigation, and regulatory lawyers who specialize in insurance issues. California State Bar Committees generally review appellate cases, provide expertise on policy issues, draft legislation, and comment on regulatory matters in California.

“I am honored to chair this committee and look forward to working with some of California's best insurance lawyers,” said Mr. Feliciano. “The California State Bar Committee process is an excellent opportunity for lawyers to weigh in on issues as subject matter experts, provide thought leadership on evolving policy and legal issues, and contribute back to the legal community.”
