David A. Chandler has joined PMA Companies as chief information officer and senior vice president.
Mr. Chandler is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the information technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems for PMA Companies. Mr. Chandler reports directly to John Santulli III, executive vice president for risk services and sales, and is based in Blue Bell, PA.

He has strong business experience in worker's compensation insurance as well as a background in many of the industries we serve including financial services, retail, and manufacturing industries,” said Mr. Santulli. “Information technology plays a critical role in our ability to deliver effective products and services to our brokers, agents, and clients. David brings a heightened level of expertise and innovation to PMA that will enable us to maximize technology solutions for our constituencies.”
Mr. Chandler has over 30 years' experience in information technology and 16 years' experience in executive leadership roles. Most recently, Mr. Chandler was vice president of information systems for Key Risk, a worker's compensation insurer and third party claims administrator, and a member of the W.R. Berkley Group.
Mr. Chandler has a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro, as well as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. He is scheduled to complete an M.S. degree in business intelligence from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA, in August 2013.
