Named Insured Requirements under the Commercial Property Form
Our insured owns two businesses, a truck wash and a bus company. The truck company is listed on the policy as a dba (doing business as), but the bus company is not named on the policy .The bus company is incorporated and 100 percent owned by the named insured. Does the commercial property policy cover the property and business income losses for the bus company?
Pennsylvania Subscriber
The bus company would need to be a named insured on the policy and its premises described in the declarations in order for it to be covered. Merely being owned by the same person as the covered truck wash would not cover the bus company on the truck wash's policy.
