E-Commerce Insurance

Coverage Checklist

E-commerce coverage is a direct result of emerging technology. As more and more business is conducted via the Internet, companies need to be aware of new risks that may arise and view other risks in a different way. A major risk associated with e-commerce is the infringement of intellectual property rights. As information flows freely and is easily obtained, it is more vulnerable to copyright and other violations than ever before. The primary concern in covering e-risks is to identify and protect intangible property, but, in doing so, professionals must not overlook more traditional coverages. The following list outlines areas that should be given special attention.
