Hired Auto Loss of Use Expenses
September 12, 2012
I am wondering about the ISO hired auto loss of use expenses. The coverage form provides $20 per day, up to $600 maximum. I do not see a timeframe mentioned, so where does the 30 day coverage notion arise?
California Subscriber
There is no time limit noted on the coverage form. The limit is in dollar amounts with $600 being the maximum. When that $600 is met, the coverage ends regardless of the timeframe. The 30 day notion comes about by simply multiplying the $20 per day amount by 30 days to equal $600, but the 30 day period is not the limit that guides the coverage.
