Stolen Kindle and E-Books
December 5, 2011
Has anyone heard of theft coverage for Kindles and the books they may contain at the time of theft?

The special limits of $1,500 would apply if the Kindle was in a vehicle, since there are adapters to charge the Kindle from the vehicle as well as from the home. Since the Kindle could be considered computer related equipment, the business data exclusion would apply to the books if any were used for business. The Kindle and contents would be settled at ACV. As far as verifying what books the insured had, Amazon has a record of what's been loaded onto the Kindle, but I'm not sure how long it keeps track of items.
