Unintentional Damage

With an impending hurricane coming, the insured boarded his windows with plywood nailing through the vinyl siding on the house.
Would the damage to the siding be covered? There was no windstorm related damage to the house.

There is no exclusion for such loss. The intent of the insured was to protect property, not to cause damage. The intentional act exclusion applies only to deliberate actions to cause damage. The loss is covered.
