Our insured is a school district and every bus has mold on the interior as well as the exterior of the bus. Our insured washed the exterior as well as the interior of the buses at the end of the school year. They then parked the buses in a newly built bus barn.
The bus barn cement hadn't cured yet so there was still moisture in the buildings. All of the buses had windows down and doors open. When the insured opened up the bus barn last week, there was mold on the interior as well as exterior of all of the buses. There was moisture in the building and it was closed up. The heat and moisture caused mold to grow.
We need to know if there are any exclusions that may apply to coverage under the physical damage section of the BAP.
Indiana Subscriber
As long as the insured has comprehensive coverage for the physical damage, there is no exclusion on the standard BAP to prevent coverage for a claim such as this.
