Work of Insured Causes Property Damage

We insure Insulation Systems of Augusta . It was in the  process of insulating duct work. The technician stapled the insulation and in the process the staples went through the grate resulting in the replacement of 172 vents.  We have the basic CG 00 01 12 07 edition. I am trying to determine if this would be considered resulting damage or if the work exclusion would apply.

This damage claim is covered under the CGL form. The insured's work damaged another's property and that is what the CGL policy covers. If the insured had damaged his insulating work, that would not be covered, but since his work damaged something else, that damage is covered. As an example, if the insured was building a wall for a customer and the wall fell down and damaged the customer's chairs or outdoor ornaments, the damage to the wall is not covered, but the collateral damage is covered.
