Extended Period Provision and Coinsurance
November 29, 2010
Is the extended period calculation subject to the coinsurance provision of a commercial property policy?
Colorado Subscriber
The extended period provision does not state that coinsurance does not apply. Other provisions do state when coinsurance does not apply, so the implication is that it applies unless otherwise stated. Thus, the extended period calculation is subject to the coinsurance provision.
