Our insured wants to file a claim for business income loss due to a tripped breaker. The insured feels the tripped breaker should be considered equipment breakdown. Is the insured correct?

A circuit breaker tripping is not mechanical breakdown. In fact, that is the circuit breaker doing what it is supposed to do. If it did not trip and a fire ensued, that would be considered equipment breakdown.
