This is a homeowners liability question, the insured has a HO 00 03. Insured's son was vandalizing the claimant vehicle (placing bananas on different parts of the car) when damage was done. A sharp object scraped up against the claimant vehicle and the insured's son is saying it must have been his belt buckle that rubbed against claimant vehicle. Would this be considered expected or intended under the policy? Thanks.

Expected or intended injury or damage, even if the resulting damage is of a different kind, quality or degree than initially expected or intended is excluded. The son's intent was to do some harm to the vehicle with the bananas, even if it was just to make a mess. The belt buckle scratching the car is resultant damage of a different nature than expected, but it is still excluded none the less.
