Preservation of Property Additional Coverage and Policy Limits
In the BP 00 03 06 07, under Section 1, Property, A. Coverage, 5. Additional Coverages, b. Preservation of Property, are the limits available for Preservation of Property included in, or in addition to the limits of insurance?
I found language in the CP 00 10 06 07, under C. Limits of Insurance, that states that payments under the preservation of property additioal coverage will not increase the applicable limit of insurance.
How does the BOP respond? Included in the limits of insurance or in addition to the limits of insurance?
Michigan Subscriber
The policy states, in the limits of insurance section, that the limits applicable to the coverage extensions and the fire department service charge and pollutant cleanup and removal additional coverages are in addition to the policy limits. Since the preservation of property additional coverage is not listed here, that coverage would not increase the applicable limit of insurance.
