Our insured was hired by the claimant to install a dish network on the claimant's roof in 2004. The claimant noticed water damage to the bedroom ceiling and wall in July 2007. It was determined that the improper installation of the dish network on the roof was the cause of the water damage. Is the coverage triggered by the date of installation or the date on which the damage is noticed?

The majority judicial opinion in the country is that property damage occurs when it is discovered or when it manifests itself. So, in your claim scenario, the majority opinion would be that the property damage trigger is the date the damage is noticed, July 2007.
