Q
This question involves whether or not personal property in a self-storage unit is covered and to what extent.
There seems to be some different interpretation of the paragraph which refers to a 10 percent limitation on personal property away from the residence premises. We have an adjuster who thinks the limitation should apply.

A
The full limit of coverage C applies to personal property in storage at a rented storage unit. The 10 percent limitation applies only to property at another “residence.”
A self-storage unit is not a residence. If the forms drafters had wanted to apply the 10 percent limitation to personal property at off-premises locations other than residences, they had every opportunity to do so.
