Our new client is interested in buying proper insurance coverage for his business exposures. We have explained to him the property and liability exposures that exist and the insurance coverages we can offer to protect him and the business from loss. He understands how he could have a lawsuit brought against him for a liability claim and how the insurance policy would respond; however, he has asked us about an in rem action and we were not sure what that was.
