National multi-line specialty managing general agency Paragon Insurance Holdings LLC has appointed Robert Etzler senior vice president and director of workers’ compensation. Prior to joining Paragon, Etzler most recently held leadership roles at Midwestern Insurance Alliance.
In Sung Yuh has been appointed practice leader, health & benefits at Aon plc. He has over 20 years of experience assisting clients with strategy, design, delivery and financial management of employee benefit plans.
Roger Walleck has been elected a member of National Underwriting Committee for the National Council on Compensation Insurance. Walleck currently serves as vice president of underwriting for Missouri Employers Mutual.
ANE, Agency Network Exchange LLC, has added Linda Foley as director of field operations. Foley joined ANE from Mercury Insurance of Bridgewater where she served for three years as senior marketing representative responsible for the Northeast territory.
John Thain has been appointed vice president, travel, accident & sickness for Zurich Canada. Before this, he was responsible for the strategic direction of a portfolio of inclusive credit card and related voluntary insurance products in Canada at Assurant Canada.
RMS has appointed Reed Birnbaum chief financial officer. He previous post at RMS was as senior vice president, finance and analytics.
Jeffrey R. Cunningham has joined Burns & Wilcox as a senior broker, environmental insurance. He previously served in leadership roles at American Risk Management Resources and HUB International, among others.

- Adam Champion - senior vice president, portfolio manager and operations at Sussex Capital
- Tony Medniuk - non-executive chairman of Brit Syndicates Limited, effective Sept. 6, 2018
- Stephen Quinton - class underwriter, kidnap and ransom, effective Sept. 3, 2018
