Swiss Re announces executive leadership changes

A new president & CEO will take over the helm at Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean.

Monica Ningen has been appointed president & CEO of Swiss Re Canada & English Caribbean, effective July 1, 2018.

A changing of the guard

Ningen has more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. She joined Swiss Re in 2006 and most recently served as head of property underwriting U.S. & Canada.

“Monica’s business experience and strong leadership skills will be a key asset in helping Swiss Re to grow our business and client relationships in Canada and the English Caribbean,” J. Eric Smith, president and CEO, Swiss Re Americas, said in a statement.

Ningen succeeds Veronica Scotti, who has been named chairperson of global partnerships. Scotti joined Swiss Re in 1999 as part of the Fox Pitt Kelton acquisition.
