People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: May 11, 2018

CSAA Insurance Group, an AAA insurer, has named Bob Valliere executive vice president of insurance operations. Prior to being named to his new position, Valliere was vice president of policyholder service.

CSAA also appointed Linsay Hohmann vice president of service. She joined CSAA Insurance Group in 2010 as underwriting manager for the company’s Eastern region, was promoted to underwriting executive in 2012, and then joined the customer experience management team in 2014.

Abbe Goldstein has joined the Travelers Companies Inc. as senior vice president, investor relations. She joins as a seasoned investor relations professional with an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Alera Group has appointed Jim Blue president. Formerly the CEO of Marsh & McLennan Agency New England, he brings substantial experience to the company’s leadership team.

Joe Chamberlain has been appointed COO for Innovative Coverage Concepts LLC, a national wholesale broker and managing general agency. During the past four years, as senior vice president of Preferred Concepts LLC, he implemented a Six Sigma initiative to help the firm drive efficiency and improve customer service.

Workers’ compensation specialist MEMIC has appointed Barrett Parks safety management consultant. He most recently worked for the State of Maine as an assistant engineer designing drainage systems.

JLT Insurance Management (USA) LLC announced the following appointments:

Charles Marmolejo has been appointed executive underwriter for XL Catlin‘s North America Construction insurance business sector. He brings nearly 29 years of experience in property & casualty insurance across a range of industry segments including construction, transportation and real estate development/management.

Chubb has named Mike Williams executive vice president and manufacturing industry practice leader. Prior to this new position, Mr. Williams was the Western Zone Underwriting Officer for CNA Insurance.

Sean Conrad has joined EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants as a principal. He previously served as senior vice president and business development officer for Wells Fargo Insurance Services, which was acquired by USI Insurance Services in December 2017.

Nathan Hudson, Peter McGoldrick, Jonathan Keller and Alexander Post have joined the Lockton Power team as senior vice presidents.

JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, has appointed Kirk Bantz senior vice president. Bantz comes to JLT from USI and has also served as director of risk management for Cardinal Health.
