MetLife has launched two InsurTech investment programs for start-up companies: MetLife Digital Ventures and MetLife Digital Accelerator powered by Techstars. Both programs will be led under the umbrella of MetLife's Chief Digital Office. "The rise of globalization, changing consumer demographics and an exponential growth in technology are factors impacting all industries," Marty Lippert, executive vice president and head of MetLife Global Technology & Operations, said in a statement. "MetLife is delivering on a strategy aimed at capturing this opportunity."
Based in Atlanta, the claims management organization Crawford & Company recently announced its investment in a software solution designed to assist independent contractors. The software platform, called Crawford Compliance, leverages mobile, cloud-based technology to digitalize existing manual processes associated with contractor management. Crawford Compliance joins WeGoLook as the company's newest InsurTech investments.
Indium has announces the availability of automated upload capabilities for agents through their relationship with Appulate. The automation will give agents the ability to bridge ACORD and other data directly from their agency management systems to expedite the submission and quoting process.
Convelo Insurance Group also has selected Appulate to automate and distribute their insurance programs. Convelo, a newly formed MGU led by several industry veterans, is focused on combining the latest technology with customized insurance products and services.
SIUPREM, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has chosen the integrated One, Inc. ProcessOne® payment processing solution and ContactOne® digital engagement solution. ProcessOne will replace the current legacy payment processing vendor with a SIUPREM-branded portal, delivering a seamless end user experience. In addition, ProcessOne provides a modern digital footprint for SIUPREM, including integration with their mobile app and a full IVR system for payments by phone.
Natixis Assurances has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter® as its platform for claims management. The insurer has also chosen the Guidewire Digital application, CustomerEngage Account Management, to boost the digital experience of its customers. Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology, and outsourcing services, and a Guidewire PartnerConnect® Premier Consulting alliance member, has been chosen to manage the system integration.
Sapiens International Corporation has announced that Equitable Life of Canada recently selected LifeSuite®, a web-based automated insurance underwriting and new business case management system from Sapiens' fully owned subsidiary, StoneRiver, Inc.
