Aon Risk Solutions announced the appointment of Otis Tolbert as a practice leader and Rick DeCoster as lead strategic account manager.
John Wasilchuk joined Lockton as an account executive, focusing on environmental risk management. Wasilchuk is responsible for placement of environmental insurance coverage for clients and maintaining relationships with underwriters and carriers.
Joy M. Gander was elected president for the Society of Risk Management Consultants. Gander has more than 25 years of experience in risk management and employee benefits consulting, and is the owner/principal of Gander Consulting Group LLC in Madison, Wis.
Lockton added Maggie Spalding as vice president and accunt executive and Heidi Small as an account manager in the company's Nashville, Tenn. office.
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Cretcher Heartland and Power Group announced the merger of their organizations. The merger is effective February 1, 2014, and creates the 2nd largest locally-owned agency in the Kansas City, Kan. region.

Aon was named to the 2014 National Assn. of Female Executives' list of Top Companies for Executive Women. Aon was recognized for its strong female leadership profile, and is the second year in a row that the company was featured on the list.
